'Beavis & Butt-head' review: MTV's case of arrested development

On Thursday (Oct. 27), MTV is resurrecting one of its legendary animated shows, "Beavis and Butt-head." For anyone who remembers the original show -- which aired on the cable network from 1993 - 1997 -- this will be familiar ground. The show chronicles two dorky metalhead teens who spend most of their time on a saggy couch giving snarky, if idiotic, commentary on videos and other MTV programming. Each show has a plot, but it's kind of secondary to the snark. In the season opener, the titular Beavis and Butt-head -- both of whom are voiced by creator Mike Judge ("King of the Hill," "Office Space") -- decide to get bit by something undead after seeing how much chicks dig "Twilight's" vampires. And, honestly, watching the two get repeatedly bit by a homeless man then descend into fever as their increasingly infected wounds fester isn't super-entertaining.Sure, it's still a laugh when the guys aim their dumb/witty barbs...
