The Walking Dead 2.04 "Cherokee Rose" Promo: Shane Explains Otis's Death

"Save the Last One," the third episode of The Walking Dead's second season, established Shane Walsh (Jon Bernthal) as the character to watch for the season. That's not necessarily for a good reason, though: in the final moments of the episode, it was revealed that Shane had shot Otis in the leg and left him to be eaten by zombies in order to save himself (and, by extension, Carl). The scene that bookended the episode, of Shane shaving his head and looking hard at himself in the mirror, indicate that Shane's finding it hard to live with himself after that difficult choice.

So what could be worse for him than to be asked to speak at Otis's funeral. In the video below, from next week's episode "Cherokee Rose," Shane has to eulogize the man he killed. He obviously can't tell everyone at Hershel's farm that he did the deed himself, so he tells a lie that glorifies Otis and leaves Shane blameless. Read More...
