‘Burn Notice’ Mid-Season Premiere, ‘Damned if You Do’: TV Recap

Last we heard from Michael Westen, he was defending Fiona’s honor against Ansen, the last man standing in a group that burned Michael. And that’s the problem for Michael, once you start caring about someone, your enemies can destroy you. Well with really any spy, actually.

On the good news side, though, Pearson evaluates Michael for a higher clearance, and he gets it. But Ansen is here to stay. There’s some bits and pieces of his life on CIA computers and he wants Michael to find Oswald Patterson, a computer hacker, and the bot malware he created. "Don’t do it for me Mikey, do it for love," Ansen tells Michael, since he’s dangling Fiona’s life above Michael.

But they’ve got nothing on Patterson or his software. So Michael does what any sensible spy would, recruit his mother. Madeline and Sam head to the police station needing to steal some information. Sam can’t do it so they train Madeline. Read More...
