THE X FACTOR (US) "Top 11 Results" Episode 14 – Well, the opening "everyone sings" medley is anAmerican Idol staple I pretty much hate. But if we’re going to be real here, The X Factor probably does it better than A.I.—though maybe there’s just better talent going in.

Doesn’t make me want to tear my eyeballs out of my skull or puncture my eardrums with colorful drinkumbrellas any less, but there you have it.

Willow Smith performed her new single "Fireball." That’s one skinny kid—not shocking, knowing who her parents are. I was pleased there was only limited lip synching involved. And no auto-tuning, as far as I could tell, so I’ll give that song my "old man stamp of approval." And a little tip-o-the-hat Reggae flavor doesn’t hurt anyone. I wouldn’t buy the song on iTunes, but I enjoyed the performance.

And I liked that we didn’t get the obligatory shot of proud mom and dad sitting in the crowd. If this wereDancing With The Stars, we’d have seem Will and Jada at least nine times from nine different angles before Willow even finished her first chorus. Read More...
