Dragon Ball Kai Season 1 Episode 10 Review: Wait Chiaotzu! Screams of Tienshinhan's Kikoho

Well, welcome to my latest review! I want to start off by saying I did write some more notes than usual on episode ten as it aired on Saturday night at 8:00 PM (or Sunday, June 7, 2009, at 9:00 AM, in Japan). I promised this last week, and, as you can see, I am a man of my word. Anyway, I didn't feel that this episode was as great as the previous "Kai" episodes, so I do have some thoughts...

The first thing I made note of was that the episode started at around 9:02 AM in Japan. Why can't Japanese television stations start shows when they are supposed to instead of repeating the same commercial twice in the span of two minutes!? I have, however, learned to get over this as it has happened plenty of times before during the episode airings.

Even though I took more notes on the episodes, there still aren't many things to write about. Let's see, I've got "aired: June 7, 2009" and "eye-catches: same as last week's." Wait, here's one - "the episode seemed a bit rushed... unless it's supposed to be like that." This is probably the only reason I didn't care too much for the episode. I mean, Kuririn starts fighting the Saibamen... then a minute later Chaozu is dead! So confusing!

Now for some good things about the episode. Even though I had that one issue, I still thought that the episode was okay. Also, I really liked the music playing when Piccolo saved Tenshinhan from Nappa! With that out of the way - let's get to commercials!

As usual, the next thing I recorded in my little note pad (that I use especially for note-taking) was the commercials. This week there were eight commercials that aired during the show that were "Dragon Ball"-related. For a complete list of those commercials, visit the episode's site page at "Dragon Ball Z Universe!" when I put it up (I'm still working on the page - sorry!).

My personal favorite commercial was the teaser for the "Yeah! Break! Care! Break!" (closing theme of the show) CD single release. It was awesome, there were little kids all dancing to the song at the Lookout then Goku and Piccolo started fighting (new animation)! Remember this CD comes out June 24, 2009, so get your order in like I did if you want to buy the single.

I guess that's it for this week's "Kai Korner" review. I hope you all enjoyed reading! Bye'cha!
