Bleach Season 13, Episode 248 Review: Dragon of Ice and Dragon of Flame! The Strongest Showdown

As Ichigo and the captains struggle to escape from Ryuujin Jakka's flames, Yamamoto reveals that Muramasa's real goal is to revive his Shinigami master Kouga who was sealed away in Karakura Town after causing a lot of trouble a long time ago. After hearing this, Ichigo decides to make a break for it but is easily sent back down by Ryuujin Jakka's flames. Yoruichi notices another way out and uses her Flash Cry attack to pierce through the surface underneath them. She gets through but the opening is then destroyed by Tobiume and Haineko, and Yoruichi again must face the Zanpakutou duo.

Elsewhere, Zaraki is still battling Tenken, but Zaraki wants Tenken not to hold back since Gonryoumaru is no longer around. So Tenken initiates bankai which makes Zaraki very thrilled. By now, Muramasa has already arrived in the real world with Byakuya and Senbonzakura. Byakuya goes to handle any Hollows that may appear, with Senbonzakura tagging along, and Muramasa heads out by himself to his destination. He runs into Inoue though, and after a brief battle, heDragon of Ice and Dragon of Flame! The Strongest Showdown's overcome by his own weakness. Inoue decides to heal him because she doesn't want to see him suffering. Disgusted by this gesture, Muramasa breaks away from Inoue, and Ishida and Sado then show up. Back in Soul Society, Ichigo and company are helped out by the arrival of Hitsugaya and Hyourinmaru, and their ice powers are enough to let Ichigo escape the flames to go stop Muramasa.
