Review: Showtime’s ‘House of Lies’ Doesn’t Lie

Showtime’s brand new half hour series, House of Lies, premieres tonight and they promise to tell you the whole truth about what it’s like to be a management consultant.

The series focuses on Martin Kihn (Don Cheadle) a highly-successful and charismatic but very flawedconsultant and his team including sharp-witted Jeannie Van Der Hooven (Kristen Bell), womanizer Clyde Oberholt (Ben Schwartz), and awkward but sweet Doug Guggenheim (Josh Lawson), as they land big corporate clients from America’s 1 percent.

But that’s only part of it, we also meet Martin’s crazy ex-wife, Monica Talbot (Dawn Olivieri), who incidentally works in a rival firm, and their effeminate son Roscoe (Donis Leonard Jr.), pretty much raised by Martin’s father. Read More...
