'Bachelor' episode 2 recap: Don't rain on Ben's parade

"Bachelor" Ben Flajnik plays around on his group date. As a veteran "Bachelor" watcher, I must say this week's episode was half-refreshing. In a world where the typical mode of transportation on a date is a helicopter and restaurants are replaced with bistro tables on the tops of mountains, Ben's one-on-one dates around his hometown of Sonoma, Calif. were downright rare. Now, I say only half-refreshing, because the group dates and any scenes with more than one girl were about as "Bachelor" as they come. The episode starts off with sweet Southern girl Kacie B. getting the first one-on-one date. They drive (not fly!) around Sonoma, and walk around the cute downtown area. Then, Ben starts talking about piano duets. Oh, surely, this is where they perform a duet with special guest star [fill in blank with any musician trying to promote an album right now]. But no! They just tickle the ivories while Ben talks about playing piano as a kid. They then go into a toy store, where Kacie shows Ben her childhood talent of baton twirling."Ben and I are having our own parade," Kacie beams. Cheesy and also a little bit adorable.  Read More...
