Jane by Design “The Birkin” Review

I realize that we’re only three episodes into Jane by Design, but based on what I saw in this week’soffering, "The Birkin," I’m a little worried that this show might end up being nothing more than Jane cleverly averting one crisis after another. It would be a shame; I think they could do better.

This week, Jane had to put together a party with very specific demands at Gray’s house, while Gray was away. Her list of chores also included breaking up with Gray’s current boy toy and finding out-of-season peonies. But at least she had a Birkin bag on her arm while she was running around…is it New York or L.A.? I’m really confused on that front.

Thanks to some India-sabotage, the small fashion party turned into a raging kegger, but with the help of her faux-hawed BFF, Jane managed to get the house back to perfection before Gray arrived home. She did not, however, get the boy toy out of Gray’s hair, which lost her the fabulous Birkin bag. And when I say fabulous, I do not mean that the Birkin bag is visually appealing in any way; as far as I can tell, its only value lies in its infamy and its price tag. Read More...
