why Alan!?

Next season is definitely a no go for me. In my opinion, Much is the only decent character left and they don't even give him the time of day. Oh and was it just me or did Much seem to be the only one really broken up about the fact that Alan was dead. What's up with that? And yeah, I was shocked that Guy died also, but they way the show is headed who can blame Armitage for not sticking around?
