The Vampire Diaries “Bringing Out the Dead” Review

Let’s make this summary of ‘Bringing Out the Dead’ short: Bonnie and her mom opened the coffin, Elijah un-daggered his other siblings, and then Esther came along to forgive Klaus and reunite her family. Also, more people were mysteriously murdered (or…almost murdered) by whoever killed the coroner, and we learned more about the original woman who started the doppleganger line (which really just confirmed what all of us had guessed).

I have no idea what to think about this episode.

It’s not that I didn’t like the episode. There was some great stuff. Caroline and her dad broke my heart, I quite liked Klaus’ plan to shack Elena up with Matt, and I was genuinely worried for a moment there that Alaric was about to die. But the episode seemed to end on a flat note for me. I mean if Klaus is now at peace, if he has his family and they’re all happy (or they will all pretend to be happy for their mother’s sake), then where can their story possibly go? Read More...
