Project Runway All Stars “Clothes Off Your Back” Review

Oh Anthony, you sat your baby in a bear trap and now we must say goodbye.

It was nice to see the contestants get some quality time in the sun after spending so many long hours in the design room. This week’s challenge required the designers to hit the streets and find a fashion muse willing to sell the clothes off of their backs. Fifty percent of the designer’s creation had to be created from the clothes the designers purchased from random passers by. In a very rare Project Runway twist,(in my best Shawn Spencer voice) wait for ittttttttttttt………the designers got TWO whole days to complete their looks. Of course, two days means nothing if you don’t get enough material or pick the right muse.

Initially, I thought the challenge favored Anthony because it required the contestants to rely on their social skills to get strangers to sell their clothes to them. As he aptly observed, he’s got a great personality! With his sweet disposition and charming Southern drawl, Anthony could talk the clothes off of anyone’s back. It may not have won him the challenge but I bet he makes one hell of a pick up artist. Read More...
