'The Voice' Season 2: Cee-Lo loses Alicia Keys' backup Jermaine Paul to Blake Shelton


It's fairly rare for a contestant on "The Voice" to challenge the coaches -- usually, the coaches do a fine job of in-fighting amongst each other. But when 33-year-old Jermaine Paul, a former backup singer for Alicia Keys, took the stage, he did just that.He was discovered by Keys when he serenaded her at a nightclub, and she soon hired him to tour with her. "I've been able to open up for her all around the world, but 'The Voice' is my opportunity to ... be Jermaine Paul," he said, accompanied by his wife and daughter, who told him about the show."I feel like it's my time.
