TV ratings: 'American Idol' dips Thursday, but others rebound; 'Big Bang Theory' leads night in 18-49


Fast National ratings for Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012For the most part, shows that cratered in last Thursday's ratings rebounded some last night. A notable exception was "American Idol," which fell by more than a million viewers and six tenths of a point in adults 18-49 compared to its numbers at 8 o'clock last week. "The Big Bang Theory," meanwhile, claimed the night's top adults 18-49 rating and also topped "Idol" in viewers in their common half-hour. "The Office" also perked up a little after last week's low, while "Grey's Anatomy" and "Person of Interest" each grew in total viewers.CBS ended up on top among total viewers, averaging 13.65 million and an 8.3 rating/13 share in households for the night.
