I would like to start this review of Justified by announcing that I would worship at the church of Boyd Crowder. There. I said it. It’s out in the open, and there’s nothing I can do to take it back. "Loose Ends" is the ninth episode this season of Justified and, like all episodes, was awesome.
Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) is ordered by Art to stop investigating Robert Quarles since he really doesn’t have anything tying Quarels to any type of crime. As you can imagine, Raylan isn’t too thrilled about this, and the next time we see him he is very drunk and lays one on Ava as she greets him at the bar. Why is Ava there? To get Raylan to visit locked up Boyd, of course.
Boyd (Walton Goggins) gives Raylan Tanner Dodd’s name and basically explains that Dodd will lead him to Quarels… and also get Boyd out of jail since Dodd is really the one that planted the explosive under Sheriff Napier’s car. Raylan being Raylan, heads to talk to Sheriff Napier and convinces the officer that a bomb tech (who was totally not a bomb tech, but someone Raylan had picked up off the street) had looked at his car and the explosive matched the M.O. of Dodd.
