The Big C “Bundle of Joy” Review

Call me Judgearella (©Sean) because I am about to do some serious judging.

I’m not sure how I am supposed to feel about Cathy (I think it may be up to the viewer), but this woman is becoming less and less sympathetic as a character. I’m not sure that’s what they are seeking to accomplish. In the first season, she used cancer as a means to take charge of her life and explore parts of the world she hadn’t seen before. Sleeping with an attractive painter and building yourself a pool are perfectly acceptable ways of dealing with the shock of finding out you have cancer. On the other hand, being a horrible employee and mother are not the most healthy ways I could imagine dealing with cancer. I’ve known people that have had to deal with cancer.
