A&E’s ‘Longmire’ Review – Welcome Robert Taylor!

As the summer is getting into full gear, tonight will be the time for quite a few premieres including A&E’sbrand new original series, Longmire. The series, based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by Craig Johnson, follows a widowed Sheriff, Walt Longmire, who seems to have lost his enthusiasm for law enforcement since his wife’s passing. But when a new case comes across his "desk," Longmire finds a new drive to get to the bottom of it. The fact that Branch Connally, an ambitious young deputy, is running against Longmire for sheriff, is also the little boost that Longmire needed to get back in the game professionally and personally.

I was quite surprised by how much I enjoyed Longmire. I can’t say that I jumped on my advance copy of the pilot to watch it, but once I put it in my DVD player, it was one really wonderful ride.
