I guess for the same reason we got Taken in 2008, but it didn't open until 2009 in the States. Perhaps they want to test reactions on the international market first? I'm not sure.

I know! But there have been tons of English movies that have premiered in USA before England. I'm happy with the dates of release! =D I come from England too.
