Fate/Zero Episode #22 Anime Review

With Waver being one of my favorite characters of this series, opening up the episode to him returning home with Rider and finding his grandfather there wanting to talk to him on the roof is certainly amusing. Not that he’s his real grandfather or anything, which makes it awkward as Waver really just wanted to crash. But what becomes neat about it as he gets up on the roof with him is that he learns that the grandfather knows he’s not their real grandson, largely because he’s too nice to be, but it’s something that’s helped the family a lot and brought them all some joy and happiness. It’s a softening moment for Waver, not that he really needed it, but it helps to flesh out his story just a little more and makes him even more connectable. Read More...
