I'm a sucker for spoilers. Sue me.
In preparation for a three week long hiatus, Grey's Anatomy addicts gear up for a potentially 3-week worth episode tomorrow in episode 6x19 "Sympathy for the Parents." Better yet, they entitle it "Sympathy for the Fans-we are not airing for so long."
This week, the underlying theme is about BABIES. Awww how cute. And how hilarious it'll be.
We all know Meredith is a career first woman, who took 5 years of her life to finally give in to Derek and marriage. She's dark and twisty who managed to become cheery when she got married, albeit post-it. Now, with Derek waking her up to a morning of thoughtfulness and meaningful staring and smiling, the B word comes into discussion! What does she do? Freak out, as usual, and seeks solace to the nearest girlfriend she has-Alex! Yup, the macho-housemate is giving Meredith the girl pep talk-with Izzie (and Katherine Heigl) forever gone, and Cristina struggling to become the next it-cardiothoracic surgeon.
Meanwhile, in the hospital, Cristina has her own discussion with babies. In a surgery, Teddy dishes out that she wants kids. Cristina, in good old sarcastic fashion, laughs and perhaps temporarily shocks Callie (who has been having issues with babies and her girlfriend for four weeks now) and her boyfriend, Owen. Good job Yang. Way to make your relationship even more strained after last week =)
Now on to the person who has had the biggest dilemma with babies-Callie. After having her girlfriend, Arizona, pull away upon her confession last week, we see them have an awkward moment in the food stand with Mark staring. I can't help but laugh at the scene but it is kind of sad that Arizona is avoiding the very important issue for Callie. Newsflash! Smiling about it and pretending it didn't happen isn't gonna cut it after Callie sulking in the Attending's lounge and seeking Bailey's diva-like advice. Oh come on! Make Callie and Arizona get dramatic, not tread through it lightly. They're the stable couple right? They deserve more drama screen time!
Finally, this week, we get a guest hunk, in the form of Alex's brother, Aaron, who comes by for a visit on his way to Portland. He seeks Alex's help for an hernia, and stirs the hospital as everyone acts weird in front of him-with Meredith constantly reminding everyone not to put their shoes (or heely) into their mouth, and Lexie acting as a teenage girl with a crush. Then again, who'd blame her? Have you seen Aaron's eyes?
