Homeland Season 2 Review “State of Independence”

People define family in many different ways. For some, it can be as simple as those with whom you share similar genes. However, for many, family is the group of people who share in your experiences, pick you up when you’re down, and give focus and substance to your beliefs. Everyone has people in their lives that fit this definition. Sometimes, it is blood relatives that can fit this bill. Other times, it is someone that enters their lives through random or extraordinary means. No matter where they come from, true family members always deliver.

It’s these ideas that form the heart of Homeland. Sure, there’s plenty of espionage, terrorist plots, and weekend cabin sex romps to entertain, but those are ultimately just really, really awesome window dressing for these deeper character explorations. Read More...
