Saturday Night Live To Air Despite Sandy's Best Efforts

Despite a traumatic week in New York City thanks to Hurricane Sandy, those over at Studio 8 have managed to power up to bring us tonight’s episode of Saturday Night Live with first time host and mega Emmy winner Louis CK  Joining the Louie star as the musical guest are fellow first timers, Fun.

Although his history in comedy ranges from a large background in stand up to a very successful television show on FX, Louis CK admitted this week on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon that he was less than stellar at Monday’s first sketch rehearsal.  In fact, he was so bad (according to him), that he feared Lorne Michaels might just pull the plug on his hosting gig and chalk it up to a Hurricane Sandy issue. After drawing some inspiration from his past stand up gigs, however, Louis CK star pulled it together and has promised a very funny show for tonight’s episode of Saturday Night Live.

Louis CK kicks off what looks to be a funny month of SNL with Anne Hathaway heading to the studio for her third go around at hosting on November 10th with musical guest Rihanna. On November 17th and just time for Thanksgiving, Jeremy Renner takes his first shot as the Saturday Night Live host when he is joined by four time musical guest Maroon 5.

Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c on NBC.
