Law and Order: SVU Season 14 Review “Criminal Hatred” – Fear and Self-Loathing in Manhattan

Another week, another so-so episode of Law and Order: SVU. This week’s offering, "Criminal Hatred," at least wasn’t about Catholic pedophiles, so I suppose that’s something, but it still didn’t have a total emotional impact like many episodes in the earlier seasons.

Forget anything personal…certainly no hints as to Olivia’s mystery Christmas date…this week was all about the case. Or cases, rather, as SVU tried to track down an escalating perp who lured closeted gay men into hotel rooms for illicit romps, then hog-tied, beat and robbed them. Eventually, one victim died, and things got serious.
