Supernatural Season 8 Review “Remember the Titans” – Has Sam Lost Hope?

In this episode of Supernatural, called "Remember the Titans," Sam and Dean tackle a few Greek gods, while Sam comes to terms with his decision to take on the trials.

For all intents and purposes, this episode was basically a single, one-off story about Greek gods. But that’s one of the reasons that I enjoyed it. Maybe not quite as much as some the recent episodes that have been rich with the new storyline, but still quite a bit. I think it had to do with the fact that the Prometheus was such a likeable character. When we first meet him, he’s just a regular schmo who seems to be suffering from some kind of curse. But then it turns out he’s actually a Greek god suffering from a curse and things get interesting, especially when they find out he has a son. Prometheus was the kind of guy who would’ve fit in well with the Winchesters. Like Dean said, describing him was very much like describing Sam (or Dean too, for that matter). In the end, the guy even sacrificed himself to protect his kid; a Winchester-like trait if I ever saw one.
