Why 'Girls' Didn't Have A Happy Ending

The second season of "Girls" concluded with a happy ending on Sunday night, minus the happy ending. Which may be what threw some people off immediately following "Together," an episode that is being called "out of character for the show" or "a let down" by some fans and critics. To wit, the show's key couples -- Hannah and Adam and Marnie and Charlie -- got back together, complete with a triumphant piece of rom-com scoring from Michael Penn.
