The Walking Dead Season 3 Review “Prey”

Following a somewhat underwhelming episode last week, The Walking Dead returned tonight with "Prey". This installment was definitely an improvement on the last Andrea-centric episode "I Ain’t A Judas", but still had some frustrating shortcomings that kept it from being a top-tier Walking Dead episode. After all, being a "better than average Andrea episode" is like being the best of the worst. We started out with a little flashback of Michonne and Andrea during their brief time together between seasons two and three. I don’t think Michonne has been handled very well as a character for the most part this season (She’s been improving recently), and Andrea has been the worst character on the show. However, I really liked what little we saw here! It was tough to be too invested in Michonne and Andrea’s relationship at the beginning of this season, since all of their development happened off-screen, so it was nice to see this for sure. I also really liked hearing how Michonne really felt about her pet zombie family members. "They deserve what they got. They weren’t human to begin with". That kind of makes it more understandable how she quickly killed them without remorse in the season three premiere. READ MORE...
