HBO considering 'Game of Thrones' prequel series from George R.R. Martin

"Game of Thrones" author George R.R. Martin has signed a deal with HBO to develop and produce a new series for the network, but what will it be? It definitely won't be a comedy, and Martin revealed in a new interview that it might be set in the world of Westeros. During a chat with IGN, Martin says that the idea has come up to develop his "A Song of Ice and Fire" prequel series -- affectionately known as the "Dunk and Egg" novellas -- as a television show for HBO.
