'Game of Thrones' renewed for Season 4 by HBO

Following yesterday's news that the "Game of Thrones" Season 3 premiere "Valar Dohaeris" broke the HBO show's ratings record, it's no surprise that the network has now announced the series is officially renewed for Season 4. HBO sent out the expected news in a press release on April 2. As "Game of Thrones" Season 3 only covers half of the George R.R. Martin novel "A Storm of Swords," it was almost a guarantee that HBO would renew the show for a fourth season to complete that story. "Game of Thrones" continues to be one of the network's biggest draws, and the premiere's ratings show that the series is only getting bigger every year.
