Veep Season 2 Review “Signals”

This week’s episode of Veep, "Signals," featured the return of Selina’s daughter Catherine. While it picked up with many of the story arcs set forth in the season premiere, at its core, the episode played like a sequel to Catherine’s first appearance last season, once again showing Selina at her absolute worst as a person. Selina’s relationship with Catherine is awful, but it’s always interesting to watch. The show has done a great job of showing how narcissistic Selina’s worldview is, something that’s never more apparent than in her interactions with her daughter. She’s always going through the motions, trying to act like a good mother instead of just being one for her daughter. Politics motivates her every action, to the point that she talks to Catherine like a hostage negotiator. READ MORE...
