Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince hits in 09 ???

What the heck is wrong with Warner Brothers?

Harry Potter is now opening in 09 instead of the not to far away November of 08.

Totally ridiculous!! I feel as if they're always looking for ways to drag the Harry Potter phenomenon on and on so they can keep making money. Of course, the movies are a huge production, so it's understandable they take a long time, but I don't feel as if the push is really due to production needs over the desire to drag out this huge hit as long as possible. I'm not saying I won't go to every film opening weekend, but it's darn annoying... and fans like me I suppose are exactly the problem! ;)

Well, I'm as disappointed as every other fan but WB has some reasons for doing this. Since The Dark Knight did so well they don't need another money movie right now and they're putting some blame on the writer's strike. (But I don't really see how that affects the release) Plus this push-back release date actually closes the 2 year gap between HBP and part I of DH since the release dates for DH have been previously set. Still, WB letting us know this major decision so late in the game is ridiculous.

they've finished filming hbp a long time ago and it ready 2 come out, but warner wants 2 milk the batman franchise a bit more before releasing this film. they feel that lots of money has been made and so there want 2 acheive that summer sucess with harry potter, at the expense of the dedicated fans, which is complete and utter nonsense if i've ever heard any.fix up
