Top 10 Movies of the Decade - Featured

Yes, I am well aware that I am late to the game but better late than never, I have heard a couple of people say. I must admit this took a shorter time than I thought it would. Looking back on so many films, the ones in my blu-ray library and the ones that just stick out in my head, the list was HUGE. Narrowing them down into a top 10 list was something that was a very hard task.

To get the list was something I wanted to put out there. This list is not perfect by any means. I know for a fact I am missing some movies that should be on here. With that said, this is my list and I love each of these movies and cannot see them being pushed out.

Children of Men was soo slow and boring, #1 of the decade? Pans Lanbrinth was in spanish, which I know doesn't preclude it from being one of the best movies of the decade, but its one that most people skipped because of it. I'll put in the top 20 but #2, I don't think so. This list completely forgot so many of the best movies including; Training Day, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, Snatch, Million Dollar Baby, Ali, The Bourne Trilogy, There will be Blood, No Country for Old Men, Spiderman 2, Pirates of the Caribean 1, Cast Away and Almost Famous just to name a few. I know they wont all fit, but you have too many recent movie on the list, like you forgot a lot of the ones from earlier in the decade. I'd have to say;
1. Lord of The Rings: Return of The King2. Dark Knight3. Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind4. There Will Be Blood5. Gladiator6. Training Day7. Cast Away8. Pirates of The Carribean Dead Man's Chest9. Inside Man10. Almost Famous

Children of Men? Seriously? Clive Owen is a great actor, and easy on the eyes, but that movie stunk. I liked him much better in King Arthur (2004).

You shouldn't have listed it that way, who puts a list like that together in random order. But regardless, Children or Men, Pans Labyrinth, V for Vendetta, District 9, and Memento wouldn't be on the list, even though Memento is awesome it still wouldn't top some of the other bigger movies of the decade, probably would be somewhere in the top 15-25 in my opinion. I think of it like Snatch; love the movie, one of my personal favorites, but I just can't put it ahead of a movie like Training Day or Eternal Sunshine. And putting Avartar on that list is just being a prisoner of the moment. There is no way an unoriginal story like that deserves to be one of the best of the decade. Special Effects were awesome, but as a plot/character driven story? Not so much. Again, this is just my opinion, but I would knock those off the list in favor of some of the better plot and actor performances of other movies from the decade.
