'Million Second Quiz' premieres September 9 on NBC

NBC's oddball game show stunt "The Million Second Quiz" officially kicks off Sept. 9 at 8 p.m., the network announced today.The competition involves a round-the-clock trivia contest with cash prizes. Reigning champs are required to live inside a glass structure in New York City. The entire contest lasts one million seconds, or nearly 12 hours, and the contestants are constantly at risk of losing out to new challengers if they don't win immunity showdowns or the trivia competitions.Like CBS' "Big Brother," everything the contestants do will be streamed online for the entirety of the million seconds, while NBC will air hour-long primetime installments from Sept. 9-14 and then again Sept. 16-18 leading up to a two-hour finale on Sept. 19.Home viewers will have the chance to play along and possibly win a chance to appear on the show. The top prize could apparently exceed $10 million....
