TV ratings: Macy's 4th of July posts solid numbers for NBC win

Fast National ratings for Thursday, July 4, 2013It was a slow night for the 4th of July, since a lot of people were probably out enjoying the fireworks and early everything on TV was a rerun. But the Macy's 4th of July fireworks special on NBC posted its biggest numbers in the 9 p.m. hour since 2000, with nearly 11 million watching the last 30 minutes of the fireworks.NBC won the night with 6.6 million viewers and a 4.0 rating/9 share in households. CBS was second with 4.3 million, 2.9/6, followed by ABC at 2.2 million, 1.5/3, FOX at 1.8 million, 1.2/3 and the CW at 547,000 and 0.4/1.In the 18-49 demographic, NBC also led (1.4), followed by CBS at (0.8), FOX (0.6), ABC (0.4) and the CW (0.2).Thursday hour by hour:8 p.m.NBC: Macy's 4th of July fireworks (5.4 million, 3.4/8)CBS: "The Big Bang Theory" rerun (5.4 million viewers, 3.5/8 households)/"Two and a Half Men"...
