2013 FOX Fall TV Preview: Seth Green in Dads, Sleepy Hollow, & Andy Samberg in Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Celebified's TCA correspondents have the scoop on FOX's fall 2013 lineup, and we're giving you the scoop on some of the network's upcoming hits and misses. First up is new comedy Dads. It SHOULD be funny -- it has Seth Green and Giovanni Ribisi as two successful video-game developers whose lives get turned upside-down when their hard-to-live with fathers move in. It's also created by Seth MacFarlane. But the talent is just wasted, at least in the pilot, which was a barrage of racist jokes and cringe-worthy clich├ęs that were both offensive and boring, making Dads an excellent candidate for this fall's first cancellation. Next up is Sleepy Hollow. The pilot looks and feels like a feature film and combines humor, charm, mystery and genuine thrills as it retells the story of Ichabod Crane, played by British actor Tom Mison. The headless horseman is at it again, 250 years later, going around chopping heads off the people of a modern-day small town. Three decapitations in the first 10 minutes tells you that no character is safe, and makes for an exciting start to a drama that's definitely worth visiting. Premieres September 16 at 9 pm. Let's take a moment to thank Parks and Recreation creators Dan Goor and Michael Schur for giving viewers another laugh-out-loud workplace sitcom. Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars former SNLer Andy Samberg as Detective Jake Peralta, who's a master at solving crimes, but kind of a failure at being a mature grown-up. He's surrounded by a quirky bunch of coworkers, including Melissa Fumero as his super-competitive partner and Terry Crews as a sergeant who looks badass but is seriously gun-shy. Don't miss these new FOX comedies when they debut this fall, and stick with us for more TV buzz from Celebified!
