Grey's Anatomy may not be ending any time soon, but will the show end up outliving all of its original cast members?! Series creator Shonda Rhimes prepares for a 10th season that may feature the exits of some longtime cast favorites. Grey's Anatomy fans - prepare yourself for a possibly McDreamy-less 10th season! Grey's creator Shonda Rhimes is experiencing some major deja vu as the original cast of the hit ABC medical drama is on the chopping block. TV Line reports that Rhimes is being tasked with plotting out an upcoming 10th season without Grey's Anatomy key players Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Sandrah Oh, Justin Chambers, and Chandra Wilson. With season 10 contract negotiations still up in the air, the next season could feature the exits of some of its stars, but don't worry, Shonda assures us that any "original" characters that leave will get the "beautiful exit" they deserve. Hopefully, that doesn't mean a brutal TV death like so many beloved Grey's characters before them! Would you still watch Grey's without Derek, Meredith, Cristina, and the rest of the original gang?
