Under the Dome Season 1 Review “The Fourth Hand”

Through much of the first season, Under the Dome has been able to mix in compelling drama. Granted, it happened in small doses and usually was undone by a horrible contrivance, but at least compelling drama was happening on occasion. Plus, there were some competent performances to fall back on, even if the vast majority of the cast wasn’t doing anything particularly interesting and not looking particularly interesting doing it. It made the show exactly what it was: A bad show able to garner an audience because of a catchy hook and the drama that surrounded it. All these things make episodes last night so unconscionable. The drama never seem so contrived, and the storylines never seemed so ridiculous.
