In this episode of Suits, called “The Other Time,” more facts about the past come to light and explain the reason why both Mike and Harvey decide to tell the truth to the important people in their lives.
This was another one of those episodes where so much happened that I hardly know where to begin, so I guess I’ll start with the past.
Flash backs are always a fun part of any show, but the ones on Suits always go beyond just the fun and bring a ton of character background as well. Sure, it was awesome seeing the moment that Harvey and Donna decided on the can opener as their new celebration ritual, but it was far more telling to understand why they had to in the first place. I’ve gotten so used to the idea that Harvey and Donna are just not “that way” with each other that it took a minute to get used to them flirting and realizing that it was actually heading somewhere. Now we all know that “the other time” Donna referred to did indeed involve them sleeping together (as if there was really any doubt), but that they both decided that their working relationship was more important. Even though I know that it would probably be too much to have Harvey and Donna together, as well as Mike and Rachel, seeing that glimpse of them as a couple did make me wish that it could happen… maybe.
