Pretty Little Liars Season 4 Review “Now You See Me, Now You Don’t”

Whoa! That was certainly a lot to take in! In the mid-season finale of “Pretty Little Liars,” we got a whole lot of information in a short period of time, albeit most of it coming in the final segment. In “Now You See Me, Now You Don’t,” the girls prepared themselves for “World War ‘A’,” whatever that might be. At first, it seemed like Mona might be on the receiving end of “A’s” wrath, but that ultimately proved to not be the case, as Mona had her own games going on.

To be honest, the episode was a bit too leisurely paced for my tastes, especially after the intense, action-packed previous episode, but thankfully, the show more than made up for it in the final act. After getting an escalating series of creepy “gifts” from “A” that included a set of 8-Balls with special messages, a mini-coffin with a Mona doll inside, and a magic box with a disappearing saw, the girls eventually made their way to ye old Ravenswood for an old-timey magic show, where the magician made Aria disappear and reappear while “A” made Emily almost disappear permanently.
