‘Beasts of the Southern Wild’ Director Benh Zeitlin Divulges Details of His Next Film

“Beasts of the Southern Wild” director Benh Zeitlin has offered up tantalizing details of his next film to the New York Times.

After the Grey Lady named Zeitlin one of 20 directors under the age of 40 to watch, the 31 year-old filmmaker was asked to divulge his next project, and Zeitlin was willing to spill the beans.

“The new film is about a young girl who gets kidnapped onto a hidden ecosystem where a tribal war is raging over a form of pollen that breaks the relationship between aging and time. It follows a friendship-love story-adventure of her and a joyous, reckless, pleasure-mongering young boy as they swirl in and out of youth and as the ecosystem around them spirals toward destruction,” said Zeitlin. Read More...
