'The Walking Dead' companion series being developed by AMC for 2015 premiere

When it works, make another one and hope it works just as well. That's the plan for AMC, when it comes to "The Walking Dead." The network has announced it's developing a companion series set in the "Walking Dead" universe, which will follow different characters.Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert, executive producers on "The Walking Dead," will also work on the new show. Kirkman, who also created the graphic novel, says, "The opportunity to make a show that isn't tethered by the events of the comic book, and is truly a blank page, has set my creativity racing."Season 4 of "The Walking Dead" is set to hit AMC on October 15, with the new show aiming to premiere sometime in 2015.
