Emmys 2013: 'Modern Family' wins Outstanding Comedy Series

While some of the 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards were shocking, one that was unsurprising was "Modern Family's" Outstanding Comedy Series win.The ABC sitcom has dominated this category for years, winning the award four times in a row. What was surprising on Sunday (Sept. 22) was how the cast of "Modern Family" was shut out for the first time in history in the individual actor categories.For its first three seasons, at least one member of the cast won a statue, though surprising upset wins in both Supporting Actor and Actress categories ended that streak. "Nurse Jackie" actress Merritt Wever beat both Sofia Vergara and Julie Bowen, while "Veep" actor Tony Hale beat Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ty Burrell and Ed O'Neill earlier in the night.Another shocker?
