‘The Sing-Off’ Season 4 Premiere Date Announced by NBC

The NBC network has announced a debut of Dec. 9 for the new seven-episode season of The Sing-Off. The talent competition will make its return just in time for the holidays with 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey set to headline the show in what would be his third season as host.

The competition series is known to attract some of the country’s top a cappella groups who put their own spin on popular songs without lip-synching, the aid of a back-up band or safety net. The winning group will be awarded a recording contract worth $100,000. This season’s judging panel will see returning solo musician Jewel, Ben Folds of Ben Folds Five and R&B artist Shawn Stockman.
