Sons of Anarchy Season 6 “Salvage” Review – Lots of Leather Slapping

And by leather slapping, I mean the sound of hugs between SAMCRO members. There were hugs-a-plenty last night!

Prior to the airing of last night’s episode of Sons of Anarchy, Kurt Sutter took to his Twitter account to let fans know that the episode would be “old school” SOA, with road trips, cop woes and lots of slapping leather. The episode lived up to Sutter’s tweet and has been my favorite this season. “Salvage” felt like the good ol’ days of SAMCRO when Jax had long hair, Gemma organized family dinners and long before any nonsense involving the cartel or plots to kill John Teller. It was a time when depending on the day, the club’s biggest enemy was the Mayans, One Niners or Nords. It was nice to see that despite the death, blood, legal woes and fractured relationships, there is still a glimmer of hope that the club can get back to what we saw in earlier seasons of Sons of Anarchy and potentially get closer to John Teller’s original vision.
