‘Treme’ Season 4 Premiere Date Announced by HBO [+Video]

Treme is returning to HBO for its fourth and final season on Sunday, December 1st at 9PM. The final five-episodes of the critically acclaimed David Simon (The Wire) series will pick up 38 months after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. Barack Obama has just been elected President and the city has a reason to hope again.

Beginning in Nov. 2008 and ending with the 2009 Mardi Gras, the last episodes will revist the myriad musicians, chefs, Mardi Gras Indians and other New Orleanians whose journeys fans have been following for the past three seasons. Even as hope creeps back into the city’s spirit, police corruption, economic troubles and a broken school system still plague progress. Only the city’s culture continues to thrive and sustain the people.
