Stop me if you've heard this one before. There is a prison in a more ancient part of the world. A pit where men are thrown to suffer and die. But John Diggle doesn't die so easily. Especially when the fate of his ex-wife and his quest for revenge against Deadshot are at stake.

As much as I've enjoyed this recent string of episodes, part of me worried that Sara Lance's departure would derail this season's momentum. "Keep Your Enemies Closer" responded by shaking things up in several ways. For one, it gave viewers their first real Diggle-centric episode of the season. For another, it transplanted the gang from their usual stomping grounds in Starling City and to the snow-swept streets and gulags of Russia.
