'The Killing' is the show that would not die: Netflix orders 6-episode final(?) season

For a show called "The Killing," it sure has a lot of life in it. After airing three seasons on -- and twice being canceled by -- AMC, the moody, rainy crime drama is getting six more episodes on Netflix. The streaming service says it's a "final" season, but we'll believe that sometime around, oh, 2028.Stars Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman will return for the fourth season, as will showrunner Veena Sud and rest of the creative team. Production is scheduled to begin early next year; a premiere date hasn't been set. "The rich, serialized storytelling in 'The Killing' thrives on Netflix, and we believe that it is only fitting to give Sarah Linden and Stephen Holder a proper send off," says Cindy Holland, vice president of original content for Netflix.
