'Doctor Who': Peter Capaldi's Doctor costume a mix of 'old-fashioned' and the future

A new actor taking over the lead of "Doctor Who" means a lot of things. There's a new personality, the chemistry with his companion and, of course, the wardrobe. The look of the Doctor is as important as anything else, with each incarnation of everyone's favorite Time Lord having an individual sense of style.Chances are the fez and tweed jacket will be retired with Matt Smith, but what about Peter Capaldi's costume? The Radio Times cites a BBC source who says Capaldi has worked with showrunner Steven Moffat, executive producer Brian Minchin and members of the art team to discover the look of the new Doctor.According to the source, the new costume is a "bit old-fashioned to denote the fact that he is the oldest Doctor," but it's "looking to the future as well."
