"Perdition" review: Legend of the Seeker - Nicci goes after Kahlan, and Cara jumps Leo

When this episode began, I worried that it was going to be one of those "false reality" episodes. You know what I'm talking about - the hero wakes up in a nightmarish version of his world that is obviously not real but that we must nevertheless endure for a whole hour. Fortunately, "Perdition" didn't stick to the formula. We learned early on that Richard was stuck in the Valley of Perdition, and thankfully we didn't have to spend too much time in his false reality. Instead, the episode wrapped up Sister Nicci's story from last week and the Cara-Leo story as well. The question is, how successfully were the stories resolved?

Wow i liked this episode and thought it got better towards the end with the battle of Sisters of Darkness vs the seekers team. The only thing i would say is that i would have not wanted Sister Nicci to have died so soon. I would have liked to see her and other allies she finds along the way battle the seeker, killing Senoir sister of light etc more. I think she could have played a bigger part in the seekers role of finding the sotne of tears and even by accident helping him along the way of learning to use his powers!!!! One other thing i would say with the battle at the end is that since sister nicci has all these powers i would have liked to see her use it a little more creatively than just throughing lighting all the time

I'd have to agree. We need more than an arc villain for so far this season, and the Keeper hasn't been embodied yet. So here I was hoping that Sister Nicci would somehow escape and gain even more power, and team up with Darken Rahl and the Keeper in a more BTS-mastermind kind of way. Plus, having a DarkenRahl-Nicci fling would of been hot.But we don't know what is to come, so maybe these great characters won't be underused. And then of course, there was Leo. What a disappointment he had to die. He was too gorgeous a man to be burnt to death, and his relationship with Cara would have been perfect to keep pushing her Mord-Sith emotional lockdown. But his absence might have the same effect, because she still has to DEAL with it. Not really expecting too much of a happy-ending return for him, seeing as how death by fire seems to be the permanent way they remove characters from the show, and they even cremated him. No breath of life or baneling resurrection. Sorry to babble on about him, but I for one think they took to much of an easy way out in getting rid of him just to restore Richard as the Seeker. Poor Cara...
