'The X Factor': Carlito Olivero wants to be the Latin star pop music needs

Pop music needs a Latin star right now, and "The X Factor" finalist Carlito Olivero would like to be that person. "I feel there has been a void in the market for a Latin artist for a long time," he tells reporters after last week's semifinals results. "I remember back in the day turning on the radio and Latin artists were dominating the radio. That kind of faded away, and I'd like to bring back the true R&B and hip-hop and definitely want to put a new Latin face on music and at the same time tour around the world. I feel being here is an amazing opportunity. I'm so in love with life right now and blessed." Olivero hasn't exactly been a shoo-in during Season 3 of the FOX reality competition -- he sang for his life in the Bottom 2 multiple times, and didn't always receive the best feedback from the judges.
