Real 'Wolf of Wall Street' Jordan Belfort shopping inspirational reality TV series

Jordan Belfort, the titular character played by Leonardo DiCaprio in the latest Martin Scorsese flick "The Wolf of Wall Street," soon could be getting his own reality show.The man who was imprisoned for 22 months after being convicted of fraud crimes connected to the stock market is described as "TV gold" according to several executives who have met with him. The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Electus CEO Chris Grant -- the head of the studio behind "Fashion Star" and "Mob Wives" -- has been "hopelessly smitten" with Belfort since reading his 2007 memoir "The Wolf of Wall Street." The pair has been pitching Belfort's "unique set of business skills" as an uplifting show that shows him "stepping in to help others who, like him, have hit rock bottom but still hold out some hope for redemption."
